Terms of Use

Please read these terms carefully before using Roomcast. By using the app, you agree to them.

1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using Roomcast ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the App. These terms are a legal agreement between you and Roomcast. We may update them at any time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

2. Use of service

Roomcast is an interior-design visualization tool. You take or choose a photo of your room, pick a style, and the App generates AI redesign ideas that aim to keep your space renter-friendly and reversible.

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information when creating your account
  • Use the App only to redesign your own space
  • Keep your account credentials secure
  • Not reverse engineer, modify, or distribute the App
  • Not use the App for any unlawful purpose

You must be at least 13 years old to use Roomcast. If you are under 18, use the App with the knowledge of a parent or guardian.

3. AI-generated content disclaimer

Redesigns are AI-generated visual suggestions, not professional design or construction advice.

  • Redesigns may not be photorealistic or accurately reflect your real space, dimensions, or lighting.
  • Furniture, decor, and products shown may be illustrative and may not be real or available to buy.
  • "Renter-friendly" and "reversible" are design goals, not guarantees — always check with your landlord or lease before making changes.
  • The App does not provide architectural, structural, electrical, or professional interior-design advice; do not rely on it for load-bearing, structural, or safety decisions.
  • Consult a qualified professional before undertaking any renovation or construction work.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the photos you upload and the redesigns you generate. To provide the service, you grant Roomcast a limited license to process your photo — including sending it to our AI provider — solely to create your redesign and store your results. You are responsible for the photos you submit: only upload photos you have the right to use, and do not upload photos of other people's private spaces without permission or any content that is illegal or infringes someone else's rights.

5. User accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for notifying us of any unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time in the App's Profile settings. Account creation requires a valid email address; we use Firebase Authentication to manage accounts securely.

6. Data & privacy

Your use of Roomcast is also governed by our Privacy Policy. In short: your room photo is sent securely to a third-party AI provider (Google Gemini) to generate your redesign; your original photo is not stored on our servers; your redesigns are stored privately in your account; we do not sell your data or use your photos to train AI models; and you can delete your data at any time.

7. Subscriptions & payments

  • Roomcast offers a free tier with a limited number of redesigns per month.
  • Premium unlocks unlimited redesigns and additional styles and features.
  • Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms.
  • Manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID settings.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple per their refund policy.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Roomcast is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, quality, feasibility, or availability of any redesign, product, or furniture shown.
  • We are not liable for any purchase, renovation, or design decision made based on the App.
  • We are not responsible for data loss due to device failure, accidental deletion, or circumstances beyond our control.
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the preceding 12 months.

You agree to use the App at your own risk.

9. Intellectual property

All content, features, and functionality of Roomcast — including text, graphics, logos, and software — are the property of Roomcast and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. The photos you upload and the redesigns you generate remain yours; we claim no ownership beyond the limited license needed to provide the service.

10. Changes to terms

We may revise these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated in the App or by email. The "Last updated" date above indicates the latest revision. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
